Allergen-Check ELISA - Procedure Overview

Laboratory Sample/Kit Controls Preparation

  • Prepare Sample by grinding/chopping/blending until homogeneous.
  • Add the test portion to extraction solution.
  • Mix to extract allergen
  • Mix. Centrifuge: 10 minutes or allow to settle for 30 minutes.
  • Remove a portion of the extract above the food pellet.
  • Test extract, or dilute extract and then test

ELISA Protocol for all allergens

  • Pipette 100µL Standards and Sample Extracts into wells.
  • Mix. Incubate at room temperature for 20 minutes.
  • Wash wells three times with Wash Solution.
  • Pipette 100µL HRP-Conjugate into wells.
  • Mix. Incubate at room temperature for 20 minutes.
  • Wash wells five times with Wash Solution.
  • Pipette 100µL TMB Substrate into wells.
  • Mix. Incubate at room temperature in the dark for 20 minutes.
  • Pipette 100µL acid Stop Solution into wells.
  • Mix. Read wells at 450nm wavelength within 60 minutes.
  • Calculate PPM allergen/protein results for all Samples.
