Feedback on IFST event
“A highly engaging and informative session” was the expressed view of the IFST on their West Midlands event hosted on the 4 March 2026. The topic of “Managing Food Allergens in Manufacture” was chaired by Francis Wallington who added “It worked very well , engagement was good”. Bio-Check’s Richard Fielder and Adrian Rogers played their part to encourage engagement by demonstrating their onsite tests which showed how difficult it can be to remove allergens with cleaning. They also discussed the role of sampling and analysis to support an allergen risk assessment, such as the new framework launched by IGD and presented by Katie Deprez (Greencore).
